Terms of Service

Note: this is a preliminary version of our Terms of Service. A final version reviewed by qualified legal counsel will be posted before any homeowner-contractor matching takes place.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using roofquotehq.com or any RoofQuoteHQ service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What RoofQuoteHQ does

RoofQuoteHQ is a referral platform that matches homeowners requesting roofing quotes with a single vetted local roofing contractor in our network. We do not perform roofing work, do not sell roofing materials, and are not a party to any contract between a homeowner and a contractor.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal property owner (or authorized representative) to request a quote.

4. Communication consent

By submitting your contact information, you authorize RoofQuoteHQ and the matched contractor to contact you by phone, email, and SMS regarding your quote request. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or emailing legal@roofquotehq.com.

5. Contractor relationships

RoofQuoteHQ is paid a referral fee by the matched contractor when a homeowner submits a quote request. This fee does not affect the price the contractor charges the homeowner. RoofQuoteHQ does not employ contractors; contractors are independent businesses.

6. No warranty regarding contractor work

RoofQuoteHQ vets contractors on the criteria described in our vetting methodology. However, we do not guarantee the quality, timing, pricing, or outcome of any work performed by a contractor. Any agreement to perform roofing work is exclusively between you and the contractor.

7. User responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information when requesting a quote, to interact respectfully with matched contractors, and not to use the service for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

8. Intellectual property

All content on roofquotehq.com — including the RoofQuoteHQ name, logo, website design, and original written content — is the property of RoofQuoteHQ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoofQuoteHQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service or from any contractor's performance or non-performance.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoofQuoteHQ from any claims arising from your use of the service, your interactions with contractors, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE OF INCORPORATION], without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date.
